Benetton could, but Castres at home have a tendency to be annoying as fuck to beat, and I’d be surprised no matter how well the former appear to be doing in the UrC.
Clermont winning away also wouldn’t be the biggest surprise ever, but I’d still not be putting money on them.
IMO, it’s Home wins all the way down, with the possible exception of LAR.
Or the classic narrow pass on the approach to a red light where I’m simply going to filter past away.
Inside Man (2006)

Some obvious ones there that are worth a mention in case you’ve missed them.

They did similar round here. Now people park on the road and, as a result people drive their cars on the pavement. Would be nice if they actually slowed down while doing so, mind.
france are pish. That is all.
Don’t even know who the next in line is at fly half. Given recent selections probably Ramos.
I dont’t even know who is next in line at full…
one thing i will say about /that/ decision is that i was screaming for the ball being held up in the immediately preceeding play. Not had time to find the replay yet.
There’s been enough ink spilled on the onvious talking points yesterday, but away from that apparently Aldritt’s injury was relativly minor - some stitches but no muscle/tendon/bones damaged, and he attended the post-match presser.
I saw the way he’d been pulled over the ruck, and the blood and what looked like bruising on his knee, and was worried that was season over for him, or worse.
France were absolutely awful. Willemse did a good job showing why he wasn’t even in the squad before a run of injuries left a space for him.
Lucu is a great player, and he and Jalibert have been on fire in the top 14, but he just doesnt seem to have “it” when he’s had a chance as starting 9. Not sure if that’s nerves, not being able to make the step up, or just trying to hard to come out of Dupont’s shadow. I’m not one for panicking, but would be minded to give Le Garrec a chance.
Italy getting better, tho been saying that for years. Not looking forward to playing them tho. I think with so many of their olayers plying their trade in top 14 they’ve performed well against us for years.
No idea what the fuck that Wales-Scotland game was about. Literally. No idea how to extrapolate anything from that give them each team seemingly only wanted to play for 40 minutes.
i don’t have much time for arguing online with strangers these days, but im sure i can stretch to a fantasy league.
Wild. Saw the headline and read it as NRL and figured it made sense, since not everyone can go to the top 14. Should be a fun year away for him.
Still disappointed the rumours of Townsend going for the attack coach position in the French national setup came to nothing. Reckon that could have been fun.
can’t remember how much he was earning, but it always seemed to be a fat wedge given the size of the org he was running iirc.
Scottish rugby has its work cut out if it wants ro expand beyond just getting bums on seats tor a couple 6Nn games imo, so interesting to see who comes in to replace.
i assume it’s just a procedural issue around the new central contracts. Otherwise it’s just a bit weird.
I dont get the fuss over kicking. A good kicking contest is brilliant and is what opens things up for the running rugby everyone says they want.
Bad, aimless kicking is obviously bad, but that’s different and can be punished by a team that understand why, how and when to kick.
was wondering if Zebre could go on a brief undefeated run. Turns out i was paying attention to the wrong italian team :D
looks like he’s confirmed as skipping the 6N, so should be fine.
Arrhur Vincent, Sekou Macalou and one of Penaud or Bielle-Biarrey also likely to feature for the 7s.
Thought it was mad England sacking Jones, and I was one of the people that maintained England had been underperforming for about 18 months. Couple of million quid buying out contracts just to get to where they would be right now anyways.
But sacking Rennie was absolutely batshit. If you look at the win % he wasn’t doing brilliantly, but a lot of those losses were very narrow, for eg single point (iirc) loss to France in Paris etc, and in circumstances that were less than ideal. The administrators basically YOLO’d it, and there should be heads rolling higher up imo.
I certainly wouldn’t bet on it, but recent history would tend ti agree with my original quip.

(When I made my initial joke, I actually hadn’t quite really realised just how close they’ve come or how regularly)
