Alien 1 vs Alien 2 is such an interesting split. The first is so full of dread and so claustrophobic. The second is like an action horror movie. The vision of Ridley Scott and James Cameron couldn’t be more different but both are great movies.
I think the mainstream opinion is that the two towers is the best. I’m curious, why do you favor the fellowship?
Profits will spike when supply is restricted because the cost to produce the product doesn’t increase. The consumer suffers because the same demand is competing for less supply. So yeah, shit sucks.

15·4 天前I remember being a kid and looking up at a mostly still and dark sky. Fast forward to when I started hiking and camping much more in my thirties. I’m creeped out by the LEO satellites whipping around. I dont know exactly why. It feels like something changed that shouldn’t have. A place that we used to stare into the limitless beyond is now barred or trespassed by something so terrestrial.

Looks like they have 4000 stations and have been doing this for 8 years. Really impressive. I’d be interested to see their coverage map.

I recently vibed a project just to get a sense of where things are. One interesting take away was that everything the LLM wrote was basically a proof of concept, an example, a snippet.
I think this is probably a result of scraping stack overflow and other help sites. I doubt that this will really be resolved. The leak of Claude code shows that the industry leaders best approach to code quality and consistency is to beg the model to do the right thing.

Direct censorship is another tool along with narrative shaping which highlights some content and buries other content. It’s interesting to see that the same tools that make user generated content palatable for advertisers is also suitable for mass censorship.
This further highlights the need to ditch centralized corporate platforms and move to independent platforms

I didn’t see a breakdown in the article between grid scale storage and residential installs. It’d be pretty incredible if all of the demand was satisfied by power walls. Napkin math tells me that would require around 1.2 million installations.
