37·5 小时前Cohen, a Memphis Democrat who is retiring from his 9th District House seat, cited what he said were multiple abuses of power, violations of his oath of office, the corrupt use of the pardon power and emoluments clause violations by the president.
He acknowledged the impeachment bid would likely fall short, but said he was sending a message about standing up to the president.
“I know they won’t go anywhere, but I’m not going to stop standing up for my constituents and for democracy,” Cohen said in an interview with Nexstar.
Cohen also introduced articles of impeachment against Trump in 2017.

6·8 小时前A good article, and a great point. At the place I was recently laid off from, even the “juniors” were skipping the basics to go right to running with scissors. My team asked me daily how the things they were working on actually worked with the rest of the system, but apparently they’ll be fine.
12·8 小时前The jaw dropping gaffes emerged the first day of a major bench trial being prosecuted by the state of California, over an alleged pattern of rampant racism and negligence in Tesla’s massive production facility. Previously, Electrek reported that Black Tesla workers at the facility were subjected to racial prejudice by way of wage discrimination, segregation, and racial slurs.
According to numerous complaints filed by workers, plant management routinely used the n-word and reffered to the rank-and-file as “slaves.” That horrifying pattern of rhetoric earned the facility a reputation as a “plantation” among workers.
On top of that, Elektrek reported racist graffiti and swastikas regularly appeared in high-traffic areas, which Tesla management simply ignored.

2·2 天前People just need to be more discerning, and down vote low effort stuff, which is what we did in the early reddit days. The knights of new never made it to Lemmy.
Lots of AA groups become like this, though not commonly to this degree. They are lay administered groups, and must be self regulatory for them to work, but the program itself relies on a lot of self policing, and discernment on the part of those seeking help, which is often asking a lot from the folks walking in the door.
