Socialism has all the power on the State with no or little room for individuals themselves to make their businesses and companies, companies that’ll thrive will be friends with the king and create a monopoly in that country.
China has tons of small and big businesses and it’s still socialist.

Maybe for themselves but they sure do cause injury and death to others. And besides, most officer on the job deaths are from eating too many donuts and getting cardiac failure (which pretty much all the “death on the job” stats for police conveniently avoid mentioning)

From what I see:
PR campaigns to try to “convince people with ideas” to change their ways is definitely more on the idealistic side.
Tech that fundamentally changes the means of production of a fundamental commodity in local, regional, national, and international markets seems more on the materialist side.
