as a front end web developer, I’ve found it useful to know what user agent is requesting a page in order to load conditional styling. For example, to compensate for Safari’s god-awful outlines support (pre-version 16).

there are some print-on-demand card and game manufacturers that might be less expensive than you think. I’m a hobbyist game designer and I’ve used thegamecrafter.comthegamecrafter.com as well as makeplayingcards.com to have custom cards printed, and it wasn’t particularly costly.
but if those services do charge more than you want to spend, the thing I recommend most strongly is that whatever stock you decide to print on, cut them with one of those sliding-blade paper cutters. don’t try to cut them with scissors. they’ll come out a lot more even.
that reminds me, I failed to mention that I played both Divinity games on console. they work perfectly well (even if inventory management is a bit of a bummer) on console
my understanding is that BG3 is more similar to Larian’s earlier games, Divinity: Original Sin 1 and 2 (which, full disclosure, I’m a big fan of). so if you want an inexpensive PC game that’s likely to have a similar feel, mechanically, those games have been around a long time and are still well worth playing (if you ask me).
