The trick to lowering gas prices is insert gif of guilottine coming down
Capitalism rewards those who have the most command over capital. And how much command over capital one has is determined by how much command over capital one already has.

Top capitalist group doubles down.

I mean, you’re literally being that typical Bluesky poster. Are you saying there’s just one dimension to the so called Ukraine war, that it’s just Russia deciding to randomly invade Ukraine?
The thing that I find weird is just how black and white people are; ‘these are the bad guys, these are the good guys.’ It just sounds like they’re programmed.

Care to break down your concern here?

I also note that, on Bluesky, there is a really weird, demented pro-Ukraine (UN) constant shouting on every second post with no nuance on other factors of the war, just pure “Russia is being colonialist and genocidal and that’s all there is to it and don’t you dare even THINK anything else otherwise you’re completely immoral and enjoy seeing Ukrainian children dying,” etc.
What they probably meant was “we already decided who was going to get the job before the recruitment process began. It’s someone we already know and like.”
Of course there are practical elements to design. That hasn’t changed. We didn’t suddenly discover aerodynamics when cars became blobs toward the 2nd half of the 90s. It’s been a factor in car design for a very long time, so this does not negate my point at all.
My original point was to negate the notion that the claim of things being better in the past was unfounded.
Of course, there are examples of mediums and things being better more recently, such as animated TV series. The quality of today’s far outshines that of 30 years ago, for example.
But some of the most culturally important areas were better previously. Music and film clearly are important elements of culture.
Hmm… I actually can explain why certain things were better in the past compared to today. It comes down to market research, consumerism/saturation of capitalism.
Take modern music, for example. The 60s and 70s was a time where the music industry hadn’t flattened out in any way. The labels and publishers were trying to work out what people responded to. And people were responding to all kinds of stuff. It was just a mishmash of tastes and people liked what stoked their imagination.
And with regards to the artists and musicians, they were mainly just making whatever the hell sounded good and felt good. No one quite had any idea what they were doing.
Almost everything was really original for the above reasons.
You had bands who released albums, containing what you could vaguely call rock but with many other influences, containing three tracks, one of which was 20 mins long and the other two being 10 mins each. And such a band would go on tour selling out stadiums and selling millions of copies of said album.
Of course, there was bad music then. But the sheer proportion of amazing music was insane.
And it was because we hadn’t yet been market researched into oblivion. It was like the wild west; anything goes.
I’ll give another example… car design. Market research has managed to narrow car design down to a very generic form that is not the most beautiful but the least offensive and somewhat pleasant to the most amount of people, to guarantee sales.
Back before such deep market research, designers were artists who would take a risk and design something in their vision. Not everyone would like it. Perhaps the design would be divisive. Ok, some bad ugly cars would come out but there would be some incredible designs. Now, almost every car looks like a generic blob.

I find it hard to watch Glen Diesen. Aside from Professor Marandi (chosen for obvious Iranian connection), everyone on his show is white and establishment type. I’ve even heard him have weird little digs at women in general. The more I’ve seen, the more I don’t want to see any more.

I feel like FIFA should have been in the list

Right in time for all the IOF soldiers to go there for treatment.

I’ll let you in on a secret. The BBC doesn’t need to explicitly be out and out propaganda itself because the whole of “western civilisation” and its ideals are the great propaganda. The BBC is merely a tiny part of an enormous propaganda fever dream that grips the world as it destroys the world.
A loneliness epidemic is literally the most obvious effect of capitalism/consumerism/individualism I would expect. But very few of the ‘male loneliness epidemic’ clan has anything to say about capitalism being the problem.

Not sure anyone asked you yet… tell us your story. Where you living and what’s the sitch?

I’m sorry we couldn’t find a BBC source for you :'(

You know, when I saw the Greens doing well in the polls and Reform ahead like a year ago, I knew it was a matter of time before Reform would scandal themselves out before any general election. Now the British public have to wake up out if this nightmare and stop voting Tory or Labour.
Not that I actually believe in electoral politics at this point…
You know, I’m certainly not just pro-Ukraine. I’m not pro Russia. I’m anti-racist, anti-imperial, anti colonialist, anticapitalist. So, I likely get where you’re coming from.
But I wish the internet was a better place where the level of argument wasn’t just “cope westoid.” It’s dumb! Have an actual conversation and put your point across!
