@the_itsb@hexbear.net idts i think maybe just has limited capacity rn and it’s kind of random whether they get back to people. i’m in a pretty big city so there’s probably more bodies to handle intake and stuff than in other regions.

self conscious that i came off unserious on my PSL call like idk they wanted me to have more organizing experience or to ask more questions or have a firmer grounding in theory or ideas about praxis or something. they did give me a resource for a way to start getting involved soon though, maybe it’s in my head. sometimes worry my sensitive/anxious temperament would just make me a liability in an organizing context too though

like seriously, whether you think you can even coherently call states “evil or not” it’s a really easy calculus: there are two options, no hypothetical idealized third one, one is a mix of good and bad outcomes one results in purely bad and destructive outcomes ofc you root for the first one, it shouldn’t be a hard calculus (same applies to when it still existed). completely leaving aside nuances about whether china is socialist or not, how critical critical support should be, etc etc etc etc it’s really not that fucking complicated even if you know zero theory and don’t have opinions on building socialism/how to build socialism/whether we should build socialism.

do ya’ll experience your preferred relationship structures as something innate akin to an orientation? i def lean monogamous but for me it’s always been a cost benefit analysis kind of thing. but my ex had like…extremely diminished sexual attraction to others when she had Her Person, or at least that’s what she claimed (and it always upset her that I wasn’t the same way, which was a running fundamental problem we had)
