Look, yeah, it’s not the victim’s fault he was assaulted, of course not. You should be focusing on the comments that are saying a variation of “Well, he shouldn’t have been in the guy’s way, then.” Now that is victim blaming.

All’s this guy said was if some dude comes up on you that hot, it’s in your own best interest to take action to defend yourself or flee. Once you are accosted in an aggressive manner like that, it’s no longer about assigning blame. You are already a victim of assault. It’s not your fault. Back before I kicked my Starbucks habit (and my car habit), I used to go to one with a drive through every day. The drive-through line was always backed up like the one in the picture. I always got my coffee quicker by parking my car, walking inside and ordering. Once I could order through the app, it was no contest. I was out the door in the same time it took drive-through people to move up 2 spots.

Even at the height of my car dependence, I never could understand the appeal of drive-throughs.

It got me looking for a different community about reducing car dependency. I didn’t find one though, so I’m back here. I’ll just see how it goes. Obviously one of the worst things about cars is that so many cyclists and pedestrians are killed by people driving them but I don’t know if people who already come to a community called Fuck Cars need constant reminders of it.

It is illegal. The insider trading laws should be enforced. Presidential immunity does not apply to stock trading. Hopefully we will at some point get a normal government again and some of the ill-gotten gains can be clawed back.

I think this only applies to people using pickup trucks as passenger vehicles, which is an epidemic in the US because of a dumb legal loophole. Not to commercial trucks.
