I’ll try to go into it with an open mind then! I really enjoyed Ocarina of Time’s water dungeon (as long as I’m playing SoH or 3D with the equipable iron boots). So I’m actually a little hopeful about this one too

I could see that. I always end up dropping off ACNH because of the time commitment I feel like it had (fully a personal thing) but with how much I know I can believe it reaches that point for some people

There’s a few people who were really wanting Doom. Honestly if no one said anything I would probably have never even thought of it lmao. I went ahead and borrowed a copy of Doom 64 from a friend, so that’s what I’m gonna share

I get that. I can fully admit I’m just a little weird and like barren white spaces. I was actually backtracking in the more colorful are just today though and got this one I really liked:

It probably doesn’t help that I just found out my graphics were set surprisingly lower than what my system could handle just today. The only thing that was what I’d expect was Anisotropic filtering at 8x

That too. I can’t believe i forgot about that. The divine beasts just felt off for some reason. And it doesn’t help they all felt kind of the same with an aesthetic. And I loathed the shrines. It felt tedious compared to something like the smaller world puzzles for a heart piece

I haven’t gotten that far just yet. How bad is it compared to OoT’s?

The world building is absolutely something I understand. It’s like finding that one game that clicks and really makes you want to construct your own. OoT was that for me.

It’s what everyone has been asking for, except for one person that asked for “The Barbie Game”. I have no clue what they meant by that by that lmao

I think I have a copy of Doom 2 for the switch I’m considering, but also I have a personal stigma whenever I do Switch games. Something about it makes me feel dirty lmao

I’ve been playing with the graphics, I almost left it on 16:9, but decided to play more akin to an OH experience so I can appreciate it in its natural state before playing with all the fancy stuff

I have it on OG while I’m playing. Is the Dusk implementation any better or is it more of a personal choice thing?

I really want to learn to love it, at the very least though I can respect it and what it does. So if I get through it and still don’t like it I’ll settle for that.

As for BoTW, I’m with you. On its own I like it, but compared to traditional Zelda games I think I prefer the OG stuff far more. There’s just too much to do and it feels a bit too open if that makes sense

Usually the first play through aren’t bad with long starts, but I still loathe them. But I’ll keep that in mind because I think Final Fantasy X is one of the FF games I wanted to try.

I almost wonder for the graphics if it’s because they got all these new processing power. N64 to GameCube was a pretty major jump, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it took them a while longer than a generation how too really make it look good

It’s the same complaint I have about Wind Waker too. I’m so used to OoT just going “Here’s a sword, and some money to buy a shield. Now get in the tree and get the fuck out”, so it’s hard for me not to compare them. Usually the first playthrough I can get over it, but if I lose the save and have to restart? That’s where the challenge is.

Also, yeah, I’m with you on the art style. Landscape I love, and the same with Link’s. But like everything else I just can’t get behind.

I’ve been playing this, but I can’t help but feel it feels like it has less content than the first one. It’s made some good steps forward for the franchise but in other respects I feel like it went backwards. No concert hall, I think there’s just less dreams, the couple forecast, quirky questions, and so many other things too are just gone. And I’ve seen the ant cutscene nearly 20 times now. I just wish there was a bit more to see

Another complaint is it feels a lot less dramatic than the first one. All my fights get resolved easily and everyone gets along. I feel like the game is almost afraid to tell me no.

I still really like the game, but I do hope it gets some content updates to at least address my first complaint. The second I think is subjective to me though.

It’s one of those franchises where i can’t help but be curious about what comes next even if i wasn’t invested in it. Also, i get the Single Player Content thing, i’m not always in a social mood and just want to relax by myself

I get what you mean about Time Wasting, i saw a bit of it in my other attempts at playing. I think another thing stopping me is i’m not a fan of the art style. Something about it i don’t really care for. I want to try it again with a PC port, maybe backup my saves too so i can’t lose them just to be safe

I’m so upset about Yotei. I do own a PS5 a friend gave to me when he couldn’t take it with him, but honestly I refuse to buy Yotei from them purely out of a moral stance of not giving them money. Maybe I’ll try it if my Library gets a copy, but besides that I don’t see myself ever touching it.

Hopefully they either walk back on their no PC games policy or some dedicated fans find a way to get it on PC

I saw this released and set it up. Hopefully this time I finally make it through Twilight Princess because I really want to learn to love it how everyone else does
