I was losing my mind at the fentanyl skittles stories last year. It was so obviously made up but my relatives were terrified.

A couple of years ago the Navy bought an ad campaign which included them streaming on twitch everyday. They always had a few thousand viewers which I thought was bullshit especially because there were only 10 or so people chatting. After watching the chat for about 30 minutes the same 10 chatters had the exact same things to say again. 30 minutes later it happened again.

I was going to document it, but by the time I decided to people like y’all came in and started spamming things like “What’s your favorite war crime???” and it became way to chaotic to prove it.

A friend of mine claims he “only plays good video games” and I asked him what that means and he told me “mostly I don’t play video games with zombies” and I think he’s onto something

I can imagine an entire nation where this is true at most workplaces.

I don’t want to speak for everyone but I’ll say this for myself.

After being told for over 20 years that I should still be morning these people and for the same amount of time our foreign policy hasn’t gotten any better, in fact it’s worse just makes me angry. They died and we’re worse as a country for it. It makes me deeply sad, but at some point the sadness just became a bitter sense of humor I reckon as a defense mechanism so I didn’t truly descend into madness.

The fact that the whole ordeal was a giant fucking tragedy caused by American imperialism is funny for that reason, not because those people are dead.

That is the nuanced take.

Trying to play games with a large narrative component designed for mass appeal after playing Disco Elysium makes me wanna take a Dremel to my skull so I can carefully remove my brain and throw it into traffic.
