  • it’s insane that in his decades-long career, no one has come remotely close to matching him

There are surely plenty of other people out there who have similar humor & talent & charisma & intelligence & musical panache and are able to put it all together in brilliant art, but you know how the musical industry is rigged, weird Al slipped in during the late 1970’s at a fortuitous time before the music industry became rigged & proprietary. He is indeed a national treasure.

There are billions of people all over the planet. Everyone has talents that most people will never see on a large scale via the media. Because the media is rigged & gatekeeper’ed these days.

I for one used to inadvertently entertain my family as I went about the household chores by singing well-known tunes but substituting the words for what’s going on in our daily lives and we all found it hilarious. That was kinda weird al-esque, he’s so relatable, we all have our quirks & sense of humor and he taps into something that we can all relate to.

  • As someone who lives in a van/RV, my perspective is wondering how ICE might approach any of their targeted people who might happen to live in vans/RVs. I wonder if the targeted individuals could just keep moving and keep evading ICE. You can’t really forcefully enter a moving vehicle to kidnap the occupants, right?

I suppose if the van/RV/whatever is parked or stopping for fuel or oil changes or vehicle maintenance or stopping to sleep or go to work to be able to afford to keep rolling, (can’t keep rolling forever) then ICE could get em in those vulnerable moments, but everything about ICE is disgustingly dystopian, terrifying, and unacceptable.

  • If this is true, OOP probably had some long unresolved trauma and/or underlying guilt religious indoctrination or obesity, low self-esteem or depression or something similar holding him back for that long. Not sure if this greentext was a word-for-word quoted conversation between a real-life patient & therapist, but if so, that therapist’s credentials need to be revoked. More likely the conversation was an imaginary one from some OOP’s lazy self-deprecating imagination.

  • Thank you. On swappa they do not specify whether a phone is locked or unlocked* but they do provide a warning that if a phone is locked it cannot be unlocked. 🤔 I’m a bit leery of this. What do you suppose that’s all about?

But when I browse their “unlocked” category first they say it can be activated by any carrier, then read further down it says it can only be activated by three carriers: “unlocked” (is that even the name of a carrier?) or “cricket” or some other carrier I’ve never heard of. If I buy a phone from their “unlocked” category but it says it can only be unlocked by cricket or whatever, could T-Mobile not unlock it for me? I am a T-Mobile customer.
