I miss these memes. They need a comeback.
2·3 days agoMy goal is minimalism. I’m not sure if I will stick to it. But I want a distraction free life. No ads. No TV. No time durdling on my cell phone. No corporate overlords.
My wife and I realized how distracting a phone can be and I just want some good quality time away from it. But I work in tech in tech need authenticatorsamd on-call functionality. I want to separate my work and personal life as much as I can.

I’m sure it’s a good value for some. I just use the super budget phones. They work fine and have more stats than I ever need.
I may have terms mixed up. I want to be able to have full control of any software.

Check out “FIRE” (Financial Independence/Retire Early). It offers some great advice on how to escape the cycle.

Aware. I’ve just never had much issues with brave out of the box.
Open YouTube in Brave as a default app is awesome. No ads by default and you can run it minimized.

VXUS+VTI, VT or something else?
I have a portfolio with some $QQQM and $SCHD but I have been shying away from foundational stocks because it seems like they have an overexposure to big tech. When I invest in $QQQM I can control the amount of exposure.
I also am a dividend focused investor. It allows me to have the cash to pivot plans without selling and have a financial safety net should I become unemployed for example.
It seems like even any broad market ETF is still weighted towards big tech. The size of companies like Microsoft and Nvidia is staggering.
What are your recommendations?
I miss when 5 Guys was affordable.

The problem I have is pixels are really expensive. I just use base model phones. I know the used market is a thing. But really I just don’t want as many distractions at times.
