Ah that makes a lot of sense. Patch frequency has been a little slow lately, but there have been a lot of pretty cool changes since I started playing so I always kind of wonder where it all comes from. I guess there still are a lot of major features missing so I can understand why people are upset.

What is PES? Is that something for server mesh?

I haven’t been an SC fan for that long so I guess I don’t understand what exactly people are so upset about that they’re trying to riot.

The reason why is to make sure a single entity doesn’t hold all the power.

Reddit is only failing because the corporation holds all the power. If we replaced Reddit with another single site, the same thing would happen again. The site would sell out and it would be whored out to advertisers.

On Lemmy, if one site tries to go corporate, people will just move to another instance. The power is in our hands and no corporations can take it away.

Yeah let’s just support Lemmy developers maybe?
