The mask can produce “oxygen” for about 15 to 20 min max. You have to be below 10000 feets to be “ok” without mask (it will be like being in a montain at high altitude).

Without putting the mask, you loose conciousness in about 30sec.

Note: this scenario is the worse in term of decompression event. Usually this type of failure would happen during the ascent.

Et c’est plutot vrai. Je suis allé plusieurs fois à celui d’Hamburg et c’etait magnifique. Les chalets en bois avait des années d’existence, l’ambiance, tout était festif et vraiment joli. Et étalé sur plusieurs km². Par contre, c’est horrible leur vin chaud avec de la réglise il me semble. Malade comme un chien.

je me suis acheté un nom de domain (moins de 10€/an) avec la messagerie de base (un compte) mais surtout la possibilité de créer des alias (8000 il me semble). Et depuis plusieurs années, je cloisonne à mort mes emails. A chaque nouveau compte, site web, mise à jour, paf je change mon ancien email devenu poubelle vers les nouveaux alias:

edf@mondomain.fr, gouvernement@mondomain.fr, banque@mondomain.fr, etc etc

ça permet de repérer très vite les abus ou tentative de pishing… genre un email soit disant de ma banque mais pas du tout sur la bonne adresse email > hop poubelle!

Et niveau classement, c’est reposant. Un folder par alias d’email, aujourd’hui je traite que les emails important.

J’aimerai pouvoir faire pareil avec les RIB, la CB ou le téléphone (merci free.fr qui a été hacké, j’arrête pas de recevoir des coups de fil à la con depuis…)

Yes, lost my long-time friend and fiancée (a car hit us… I survived, she didn’t) while coming back from the beach. We were living together, doing our studies together at the same university and we were in planification stage of our wedding and may be soon parent (i will never know…)

I’ve dropped all of that, couldn’t continue without her, never came back to my town and moved far from it. I switched off my brain for 6 months, refiling paper and ink in a littke shop.

So a complete change of life due to a 5 min event and a drunk driver who didn’t stop to help…

One day, a little old lady who i was helping told me a sentence i will never forgot: “young man, you seems very intelligent/clever… i hope you don’t plan to do your actual job forever”

She was rigth, i was destroying myself in this shitty job. So i sent resume to the big companies around me, at random. To do something totally different than my original formation.

I got hired in a very big corpororation at a middle entry level (as i didn’t got my engineer diploma). In the following decades, I’ve focused only on my job (was still in denial), slowly raising in the organization, and I’ve managed to have a very good career that exceed now - by far - the level i would had with the initial diploma. And because i started by the low level, i have a real good experience that help me a lot today.

But all this success and money didn’t stop me to encounter several depression periods, burn-out, etc… I’m following a therapy since my last very serious depression 2 years ago but i’m still unable to get in couple. I’m still working on that.

Sometime, i wonder what could have been our life if we departed 5 min earlier or later. Or if i didn’t encounter this old grandma (probably dead today) in this shop.

It’s crazy how our life and direction can be so random.

May be… it’s been a while for me too. I remember loving the ambiance and music of this game… Good idea when the weather is bad (if it will work under linux).

I was thinking about Macron here.

Our president is… not very clever. He’s embarrasing, has too much ego and has difficulty to “read the room”. He also lack the capability to step back and acknowledge when it is time to review his position.

They will now create fake CEO profiles (with machine learning capability) available only on Zoom due to safety concerns.

May be one day, they will also replace the CEO by an AI agent. That won’t be worst than today anyway…

I’ve created an automation to skip automaticaly all the HA “new update available” events until we pass the 15th of the month. And unskip them after the 15th (as it could happens than no new update is published after the 15th… but it’s quite rare).

Combined with full backup, i never had a issue that couldn’t be reversed quickly.
