Post Samoza Nicaragua was and still is far more democratic than the US has ever been in its entire existence. The work of the FSLN to improve material conditions and ensure genuine democracy and democratic participation was increadable.

Based solely on the terror campaign against Nicaragua, the US deserves to be stripped of all but a small defensive force, have its assets seized to pay reparations and preferably broken up into smaller, less powerful states so it can’t ever again do the kind of evil shit it did to Nicaragua.

No one’s singling out Israel on the far left, that’s the thing. Plenty of other American allies get called out. India, for its treatment of Kashmiris, Saudi Arabia for being comic book villain levels of undistilled evil, Australia for its offshore concentration camps etc.

It’s really fucking weird when a left winger gets accused of singling out Israel when they’ve criticised a whole buncha countries. I guess an antisemite lefty story is way easier to manufacture than anything else.

I occasionally see posts from here with army recruiters sending texts to schoolkids and the weird troop worship you have.

If I’d grown up as skint and fucked up as I was in the UK at 16 in the US instead with your lack of healthcare and in a really shit environment I would have taken the first genuine shot of escaping I could.
