I talk to postal workers every day for work. The postal system is very deliberately being sabotaged from the top. Recently I was told that sorters were no longer allowed to work overtime. If there is more mail one day, they just have to leave some of it for the next day. If this happens for days in a row (because of Valentines Day cards or tax season to randomly pick hypotheticals) they fall further and further behind every day.

The federal administration wants you to think the postal service is a failure so they are forcing it to fail. They want to sell it out to FedEx, UPS, etc so they can raise the prices and make huge profits.

It’s less about trusting no one and more about recognizing that something could happen to the person you are with, like a medical emergency for example, and that you should be able to survive on your own. Say you are hiking with someone and they fall and break their leg. Do you both just lay there and die? You need to be able to get yourself back to safety and to get help.

When you get on a plane, they do a whole safety announcement, pointing out the exits. Trains and busses have legally mandated labeling for exits. You are well informed how to get out on your own.

First you have to define what “think” is.

Is it being self-aware? Is it responding to stimuli? Is it having brainwaves, or just a brain?

Then you have to ask if thought is something we would always recognize. Could something think in a way that is totally recognizable to us but is still thought? Do computers think? Why or why not?

It is my understanding that the 72 virgin narrative is derived from several hadith which mention 72 houri. What exactly the houri are seems pretty complicated from an outsiders perspective.
