Give it time. You get used to it. Eventually, you will probably type more accurately than you did before. A qwerty or any full keyboard like that does not belong on a small screen. :-)

Cat@kbin.socialto News@lemmy.world•Shunned in computer age, cursive makes a comeback in California7·1 year agoI’m 40 and our teacher explained why cursive was a thing in elementary school. I figured we were learning it so we could sign our name.
Take computers out of the picture. How long have we been using ballpoint pens? Cursive was obsolete even before computers took over how we write.

Cat@kbin.socialOPto Sysadmin@kbin.social•No DNS records registered. Problems with ICU domains?1·2 years agoIn case anyone stumbles across this, the problem was that the entity that manages .icu domains received an abuse report and suspended my domain.
This is strange because I only use the domain for personal experimentation and none of that is just for static websites. DNS records for mail are properly configured like all of my other domains.
I asked Namecheap what the reason was. They said none was provided and it may take some time to get a reply back upon requesting the info. I asked them to put in a request for the reason.
My guess is that I was just in a massive list of domains that someone started reporting. or maybe someone was trying to get my domain taken out so they could take it for themself.

So many words with so little information. In other articles I found it sounds like Chrome is finally getting third party cookie blocking. Other browsers have had thir for years. Its nothing new.

Cat@kbin.socialto Android@lemdro.id•Xenomorph Android malware now targets U.S. banks and crypto wallets4·2 years agoWith Lineage OS, you probably can. It also seems to becoming more logical for common users to wipe and reinstall occasionally. Not that it is easy to do. It just seems like a lot of malware is hitting phones and that is likely to get worse.
Air traffic controller here. I only work overtime on pysilocybin.
Cat@kbin.socialto News@lemmy.world•California workers who cut countertops are dying of an incurable disease19·2 years agoThat is sad to hear. I live in an area where almost no one wore masks. Even at the hight of the pandemic. Our local pharmacies got a bunch of N95s for free to give away free. There was supposed to be a limit but since no one was using them they would give me a lot of extra. I’m guessing they still have boxes stacked up somewhere.
Its also sad that this could have probably been prevented by using a wet saw with water hooked up. Anyone who has cut stone once without a wet saw walks away knowing they shouldn’t have been breathing that.

Here’s what scientists think it means5·2 years agoI did not see a video in the article. Here is a video of the lights on msn. I can’t figure out how to get an English page on there. Sorry.
Awesome! I found out this worked for me years ago when I was a lone dev. I would walk around muttering to myself. Glad to know there is a term I can use now!
Sometimes I step away from the screen and talk out is happening in my head.
Often times my coworkers and I will ask each other for help. Much of the time the person explaining will see the problem as they explain it to the other person. Usually before the other person has a chance to get the full explanation.

Hopefully one or both of these is available still. Thanks for doing this!
Cat@kbin.socialto Android@lemmy.world•Which is the least no fuss mainstream phone manufacture?1·2 years agoMost phone manufactures create their own version of Android. Usually they are pretty full of useless junk and a ton of UI changes. By saying “mostly Android” you’re urually saying “mostly [original] Android”.

Cat@kbin.socialto LiminalSpace@lemmy.world•This was always super liminal to me because you're in this position so rarely and only for a moment.171·2 years agoI haven’t been on a plane in about 10 years. That moment in this space is a great example of a liminal space. Your post brought me right to that feeling of being on the plane but not being on the plane.
The downloads list suddenly won’t load anymore. I was going to get the last version before they added the notice to get pro.
