In my opinion it was destroyed by government.

Please hear me out:

Think about it: all public transportation was privatized. Yet road infrastructure was implemented, funded, planned by the government (local,state and federal). The cars themselves were private but it was the government that decided to build the road and highway system.

The government then subsidize the fuel industry to benefit the car industry so that their road investment would be put in good use. The future for Americans at this time was the automobile since the government was investing so much money into it.

At the same time the private sector public transportation were hemorrhaging riders and the companies had no investment opportunities. The government looked at their service and thought it was old fashioned and decided they were better of going bankrupt.

If it wasn’t for citizens rising up to rescue the remnants of these public transportation companies by making them public sector they would all be extinct. The governments continued to not invest into these entities until the 70s and even then it was sporadic and lackluster. The same government also had to be stopped by citizens in building highways in neighborhoods. So many neighborhoods were destroyed for these highways and only a few were prevented from getting built, all because people rose up!

Finally we go to present day. Government continues to provide lackluster service and we see poor investment in our public transportation. Governments continue to mainly focus on roads and car centric development.

I challenge people to look at Europe and their relative success in nationalizing rail tracks but privatizing rail service. It’s not perfect but it’s possible!

So this is my view on why government is to blame for where we are in our car centric hellscape, USA

Possessing guns can collapse dictatorships though. That’s the tool of the 2nd amendment. Using the guns is the last resort of course, but we can demonstrate to the government that we have guns. Once they are aware that there is a large gathering of gun owners they will think twice how they proceed.

The left is so smart yet they constantly fail to understand how to utilize the 2nd amendment to their and the country’s benefit.

Remember: the last time California had great public transportation infrastructure it was all completed by the private sector… #facts

One person with a gun achieves nothing against the government except getting themself killed, what is needed is a huge coordinated effort where some of them will surely die.

Still don’t understand how this is works if the 2nd amendment gives us the right to guns? They can’t just kill you for having a gun legally?

The best thing that the people in United States can do right now is bring the entire system of the United States to a halt. But because we are like you and make excuses we will be complacent and let fascism take over.

Yes. Even the lowly TSA agent. The fact is they all took an oath to protect the constitution of the USA. Going to work and doing your job making the government function under this administration is not what the oath says. Trump is attacking the constitution and these people are being complacent.

See this is the thing. We need a majority showing up to the meeting armed. Sure they won’t let people in, but the dirty politicians will definitely feel rattled.

The 2nd amendment is a tool we can use to keep our politicians in line. When you don’t use it, all those poor school children died in vain.
