Bunnyville (BNN2) - The Bunnyville Historical Society has announced the discovery of a previously unknown room in the oldest reaches of the basement in the Bunnyville Capitol building. An industrious bunny was digging around for fun and accidentally dug their way into the hidden room, which was full of old photos and news clippings. The ancient historical documents date as far back as Bunnyville’s founding in 2022. Or maybe Bunnyville is older than that. We really don’t know but these are definitely the oldest historical documents known to bunkind.
The documents are on display here on BNN2 and open to commentary from Bunnyville residents. We are also opening the exhibit up to submissions from Bunnyville residents. If you have any pieces of Bunnyville history stashed in your attic or some current events we should know about, please share. We hope you enjoy this historic exhibit. Sort by new and then go to the oldest picture first to enjoy the exhibition in chronological order, or hop around as you please.
If you aren’t a BNN2 subscriber but would like to be and aren’t sure how to start, we got you bun! On the top right of your window you should see three small horizontal lines. Click those. A list of options will open. Click “Sign Up” at the bottom. Enter your email, username, password, retype password, and type the capcha. Select whether or not you want to view NSFW content from this account (but don’t worry, if you choose not to view NSFW content you can still see anything OnlyBuns related that gets posted on BNN2, and you can create multiple accounts with different subscription options, or sign up on multiple servers). Click “Sign Up” and check your email. If you don’t have a confirmation email within 5 minutes, check your spam for an email from Lemm.ee. Once you have confirmed your account, you can subscribe to BNN2 by clicking the sidebar button then subscribing.
I don’t know why you would want to view any content outside of BNN2, but if you do for some reason, click the words lemme.ee at the top of your screen or the cute little lemming next to it. That will take you to the main page for the lemm.ee server where you can see content that people on this server are subscribed to. You can subscribe too if you see a community you like show up in your feed. You can also search for communities (the Lemmy equivalent of subreddits) you might like by clicking the 3 lines at the top again and clicking on communities. Subscribed will show you only the communities you are subscribed to, local will show you communities that are hosted on the server you are signed in to (if you signed up straight from BNN2 then you are on lemm.ee), and all will show you communities from across the fediverse. You can subscribe to and interact with communities on different servers so I suggest looking under all to get a wider selection.
If you aren’t digging the UI, I don’t blame you. The 2 apps I have tried are Voyager (formerly wefwef so if you hear other bunnies talking about wefwef that is what they mean) and Connect. I prefer both of them over the web version and suggest trying one out. They both have infinite scrolling and some nice options that aren’t available on the web. I’ve heard that there are also good iOS apps but I don’t have an iPhone and I won’t suggest or vouch for an app I haven’t tried myself. If anybunny has tried any of those, please leave a comment with your favorite.
Feel free to comment or message me if you have any questions about getting signed up or getting started!
Here is some additional information to help get you started.
