For those of you who don’t care, I promise this is the last post about this. All further discussion can be relegated to the matrix space.

The main base isn’t anything special, at least for now, but it’s enough to protect from the main planet’s frequent boiling storms. If any comrades need to be picked up, you can use the S.O.S. channel in the matrix space. All four stars are yellow, so no special hyperdrives are required to traverse the whole federation.

yeah, but it’s pretty dead. not too many people live there but feel free to stop by and make a base!
i may just do that next time i get the urge to play! i had to stop playing my save with a freighter because i had no idea what i even wanted to do so it might be a second until i make my way out there
What facilities is the sector most in need of currently? I’ve arrived with a modest amount of resources.
but other than that, the main system is kinda lacking in bases, so feel free to just build something you think is cool or fun!

I got this game on sale a couple years back and only just started playing it, but I’ve been having fun. Im not very familiar yet, but the basics seem simple enough. I don’t really understand how the portal cords work or having a base planet, but I’ll try and figure it out if y’all will have me.
Bit of a late response, but one thing to keep in mind is that this game has customizable difficulty. That is, you can tune individual gameplay elements like economy pricing, crafting requirements, etc. to your needs. So if you bump into anything particularly grindy, just switch it off. This is useful when it comes to tracking down a portal and powering it up with the needed materials to travel, as that can be an incredibly grindy process.
