the Oct 30 one doesn’t play them, the 27 one does. also whole lotta fucked up UI glitches, doesn’t respect the tv and desktop launch flags, some major changes afoot.
Yep. Having the same issue and rolled back to fix. There is an open issue you can track on the github’s repo of the flatpak jellyfin
The Jellyfin MPV Shim recently got a new UI and I would recommend switching to it.
Plays pretty much everything, including HDR.
there’s a UI? how come? used to be just a sink you send stuff to, how does it work?
edit: looks like a standalone GUI player now, confused about its role in the ecosystem
It can do both now, a cast only sink or a full player with UI.
The new UI works much better for me.
The Qt 6.11 update quietly made a decent number of breaking changes and a good amount of apps (including the old Jellyfin Desktop app in this case) that have simply had the dependency version bumped on them have encountered a variety of breakages,
Something that might also be happening is that there are genuine patches in
masterbranch for use with Qt 6.11, but the Flathub package is not pulling them as it is still tagged againstv2.0.0. Seems either a proper release should really be tagged upstream or the Qt 6.11 bump patch should have never made it to public on the Flathub package.Sadly the Jellyfin app on Linux doesn’t get much love at all, I’ve had a much better experience using Kodi with the Jellyfin addon.
