On Discord tatting channel we were talking about having different challenges for other arts - for example: InkTober. There was some interest for a Snowflake Design-Along - so I spent couple of days and “came up” with the most basic snowflake base for a design along tatting challenge. Probably it is in every tatting book on the planet.

Every ring is: 3x(3ds-p)-3ds

Every chain is: 1ds-p-6ds-p-6ds-p-1ds

The rules

• You can add or remove picots.
• You can add up to 3 rounds to the original motif.
• Your design must be your own. Please don’t copy other participants’ designs.
• Sharing a written pattern is optional. Photos alone are welcome!

By submitting a pattern to the organizer, you grant the organizer a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free license to publish, reproduce, and freely distribute your pattern, with credit to you. More of the legal disclaimer is on my website.
