He spent easily 45 minutes talking about how we don’t appreciate our “democracy” and how China was le evil communist dictatorship in which people are at the mercy of the see see pee and you could get disappeared if you weren’t friendly to them. Also mentioned how “Hitler was elected democratically” and the CPSU had the record for killing their own citizens.

In a better world I would’ve had the confidence to speak up against his nonsense, but I got some serious anxiety and no one to back me up

Worst part is I have to attend classes or I automatically fail the subject, as if we were still in elementary school

    Shit like this makes me glad my CS professors didn’t/don’t bring up politics. The closest to a political thing I heard recently was a professor saying that the location of the conference he was going to present his research at had to move because it was originally scheduled to be in Hong Kong during the riots. Basically, “we were gonna do it in Hong Kong but then the riots happened, so we had to do it somewhere else”.
