Pretty bad when the Supreme Court that’s been seriously stacked for you still rejects you as too extreme. Really extraordinary.
Maybe in cynical, but they probably know that they don’t need to this to “win”. They won’t give up real power peacefully.
The conservative justices on the Supreme Court don’t mind giving an inch in terms of ruling against Trump in less consequential cases to then take a mile in cases that are far more impactful. Some people somehow still believe the Supreme Court is bipartisan just because it hasn’t sided with Trump in every case.
