It well and truly is the one and only good scooby doo game and an example of the TV show being converted more or less perfectly to a handheld. Developed by Digital Eclipse and published by THQ it seemed to come from a company that mainly made ports and licensed trash. Somehow someone somewhere in that company made a brilliant, inspired and thoughtful title for the worlds most slopped franchise in existence.

As a turbo fan of scooby doo largely, because I wanted to metamorphose into Velma, I played pretty much every game I could get my hands on and ever single one was a barely working whitelabeled cash grab asset flip except for one and only one game…

This GBC game is basically what would happen if you took an episode of the TV show and made it a point and click adventure game. Clocking in at around 1 hour in length its easy enough to complete in one sitting and you will absolutely not regret it.

The soundtrack is great https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s1W8agUTWyQ the visuals are honestly still stunning for the gameboy colour, I remember being so engrossed in the visuals that many scenes in this game would scare me shitless. Full screen cutscenes, continuity from the episode Nowhere left to Hyde, it was really punching above its weight for a gameboy colour title.

If you have never heard of this one and liked scoobydoo as a kid you should absolutely give it a go, it has aged impeccably and its not like it will cost you much time.
