A Canadian journalism community for independent news, reports, blogs, editorials, and whatever.

Be cool to each other. Instance rules apply.
All posts should link to a current*, independent* blog, article, editorial, listicle, research paper, or something that can be considered “news from Canada."
Post title should be the article title or best fit.
No misinformation or bigotry.
For paywalled media, please provide an archived link in the text body of the post.
Tag [NSFW] and [Content Warning - x] at your discretion. Use [E-mail required] if an e-mail is needed to sign in.
Commenters who don’t read the posted article may receive temporary bans. This is a community for informed discussion.
This instance has no rules against calls to violence, please don’t report general wishes for violence. I will moderate direct implications of violence (i.e. I will shoot x person in the head) at my discretion.

*Independent journalism is generally free from government and corporate interests, and not controlled by a major media conglomerate. “Independence” is a gradient, so use your best judgement when posting.

*All souces must be based in Canada but do not need to be about Canada.

*Current depends on whether new, publicly available information has been released since the article has last been updated. When in doubt, add the publishing or last revision date to the title in a tag [like this.]
