    Thank you for unlocking a memory of mine.

    A long time ago, I was in the marching/concert band in high school (US) and our band director LOVED this tune. Specifically this Maynard Ferguson version:

    We played it so many times. Now, I think Ferguson always blows too hard but this tune will be with me forever. Thanks

      I learned the Ferguson version in high school jazz band too! Only years later did I learn the history of the track.
