Saab has secured a SEK 10.1 billion order, worth approximately €914 million, for two GlobalEye airborne early warning and control aircraft from an undisclosed Middle Eastern customer.
GlobalEye combines active and passive sensors to detect and identify objects at long range. The system is designed to monitor activity in the air, at sea and over land.
I’m sure this is going to be used for completely moral purposes.
They’re for detecting things in the air, not people on the ground.
Seems they detect things on land too.
Primarily air, that’s where you get the biggest benefit.
