René Schneider Park in Antofagasta is exactly the kind of urban design we need. They turned a dangerous, unstable slope into a thriving community space using smart nature-based solutions instead of just concrete walls. This is how you fix a city.

The book ‘Design for ecological democracy’ by Randolph T. Hester is a fine read. Cannot find it online (as a pdf or whatever), but maybe you can check it out from your local library. Covers a lot of the way urban planning should be done.
Bravo to the communities and their representatives for creating a better practice in their development.
