Marvel has mapped out its movie plans up to 2042, studio boss Kevin Feige has said, hinting at a "streamlined, simplified" universe post-Avengers: Secret Wars, a big push for the new X-Men, and plans to eventually unveil a live-action Miles Morales.
Why studios continue to think that creating live action versions of animated films is a good idea it’s beyond me. They still think that animation is only for children instead of just a film medium.
Is it even still more expensive to do animation? Like, you used to need a shitton of animators to do things; now computers and digital art tools make it easier for much smaller teams and you obviously don’t need sets or permission to film on location. I’d have thought it’s gotten cheaper than live action productions by now.
