Also (un)fun fact about racist autoritarism: Our president has finally officially recognised Palestine as a country, and its people as oppressed, yet the state he leads still smear and punish support toward palestine or actions against the state and colonialism of Irael. Our country even provides weapon parts to Israël.
@PanGodofPanic And about “Even in the US there’s no equivalent, at least not one that could apply for just giving someone a bed for the night.”
I’ll take your word from it, but that’s about laws. (And I understand law can be more complicated in a federation.)
However the US have ICE that just don’t care about law. (Not better: FR has the BRAV-M and several police orgs to do the dirty work.)
At least one US judge was punished to have helped an “illegal immigrant” escape ICE because the targeted person wasn’t convicted of illegal stay yet. (The judge knew: they were the one judging the case about the legality of ICE’s target’s presence in the US.)
@PanGodofPanic And if we complain, nationalist tell us: “La France, tu l’aimes ou tu la quittes”.
It means “If you don’t like France, leave France”. They don’t apply that to themselves except to escape taxes (Ex: Pierre-Édouard Stérin), or judicial consequences of their harmful actions (Ex: Thaïs d’Escufon).
