Oh look. Western media saying what has been dv’d into oblivion every time someone from the wrong instance mentioned it.
There are many places the downvotes come from - bots, white knights, those ignorant of the situation, oblivious Kremlin supporters - and there are few who upvote something that, as the article mentions, can be used as propaganda in favor of Kremlin.
But yes, I’m glad that some credible western media at last dares speak up about this problem. Hopefully it results in something being done about it, but the other problem remains, and it feeds desperation: They’re running out of manpower.

Well, everything’s relative. There’s not many left who are genuinely deemed credible. Nonetheless BBC has undoubtedly a big reach, and this significantly increases the chances of people talking and taking the problem seriously.

Yep, war is hell for any soldiers. Even after the conflict is finished. So it’s not a suprised to see people not wanted to get prepared for the front.
No one want a war. Only some stupid rich people. Who obviously will not touch a weapon in their life.
People also don’t want to exchange their lifes for a pittance, while the corrupted government and oligarchs quietly steal the money from country and ordinary people.
Are women allowed to serve?
I thought the women were only allowed to make Sons, so they can send them off to die in a war.
