Counterintelligence and investigators of the Security Service detained the general director of one of the defense enterprises and his deputy for production, who allowed ammunition to be placed in warehouses located near residential buildings in the city of Vyshneve in the Kyiv region.

As the investigation found out, on July 6 of this year, as a result of a combined attack by the Russian Federation on the capital region, a fire broke out in the warehouses of the regime facility, followed by the detonation of ammunition stored in hangars.

It was established that these warehouses were not intended for the storage of ammunition and were used without appropriate permits.

According to the case materials, this happened due to the fact that the general director of the enterprise improperly organized production and economic activities, did not ensure the fulfillment of fire safety requirements and regulatory legal acts regarding the storage of ammunition and explosives.

In addition, his deputy allowed the placement of ammunition in unsuitable warehouses in the immediate vicinity of residential buildings. This led to the death and injury of people, as well as the destruction and damage to the property of civilians.

Currently, investigators of the Security Service have informed the detainees of suspicion under Parts 2 and 3 of Art. 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (official negligence that caused serious consequences).

A petition to the court is also being prepared to elect a preventive measure in the form of detention for the defendants.

Complex activities were carried out by employees of the SBU Counterintelligence Department and the Main Department of the SBU in the city of Kyiv and Kyiv region under the procedural leadership of the Kyiv Specialized Prosecutor’s Office in the field of defense of the Central Region.

I cant wait for russia to collapse so Ukraine won’t have to do this anymore. It would be so much easier if russia stayed in its borders.

If a rabid capitalist state cannot control its munitions during a war, then it would have even less of an incentive to do so in peacetime

Good thing that doesn’t apply to Ukraine! Once russia collapses, Ukraine can de-mobilize and start returning to a form of normalcy.

Do you genuinely think ukraine isn’t capitalist? Or that it wasn’t torn to scraps like every country in the region?

I don’t agree. Europe and the USA see Russia as an enemy and a threat and use Ukraine to weaken Russia , which works.
