As I understand it the Dems have until July 13th according to Maine election law to replace him if they’re going to. So she wouldn’t necessarily be running unopposed.
As I understand it, yes they would just pick someone to replace Platner if he dropped out. I could be wrong, but that’s what it seemed like from what I was reading.

So, they would just get to “choose” a new candidate, at the last minute? All of a sudden, this seems incredibly fishy.

Honestly, these allegations themselves do seem pretty legit…it’s just the timing that makes them seem suspicious.
