Turkey and chicks - unfortunately can’t upload video. They are near impossible to see in a still image

I see em! Barely.
Back in the 80’s a “chicken truck” overturned on highway 62. Except it wasn’t carrying chickens, it was carrying baby turkeys. Whatever wasn’t killed right away in the accident basically all escaped into the surrounding area – which was largely woods and overgrown fields. Basically perfect turkey habitat. This girl I went to school with, Amanda Lowe, caught about 6 of them and her dad bought them a turkey pen so she could keep them until they were “ready to go home”. Amanda had no clue what that meant, at first. Anyway, long story short, turns out turkeys have personalities and because of that the dad decided they were just going to be pets. They all had names and they each knew their own name when called. It was really cool. They’re smart animals. Sadly a coyote got into the pen one night and killed them all.
Nice. I tried to get some photos of 10 chicks about a week ago, but they ran away.
