Whenever someone uses my driveway to turn around (rare occasion), I’m just glad I could be of service. American obsession with violently protecting their private property and fear of getting raped/burgled is weird AF.

In my case, getting to my driveway to turn around requires you to go into a culdesac, so why not just do a loop through the culdesac and turn around that way?

On one hand, it’s really not that big of a deal. This meme kinda gives the vibes of people who shoot through the door when someone knocks. On the other hand, whatever happened to 3 point turns? You’re not even saving yourself a point by using someone’s driveway, so just stay off of it.

I was delivering ice to someone the other day and was standing outside waiting for them and the dude comes outside like “what’s going on!?” As if i was some random guy they didn’t just pay to bring ice

that we all have such different responses to this is so fascinating. While I understand the others’ point of view I sympathize with the ones saying it’s OK to use it to turn around.

The only people who use the driveway that aren’t us are delivery drivers and they could park on the grass if they wanted.

They don’t, but they could! They also get candied jalapeños occasionally.

This is more of an annoyance for those of us with Frigate configured to warn when someone enters the driveway and we get notifications. I have it configured that way for delivery drivers who park at the driveway entrance to deliver.

I live at the end of a culdesac that is barely over the two lanes wide. Vehicles with trailers and the large garbage trucks commonly drive to the end and then back into my drive to pull back out onto the road. I wouldn’t have it any other way. Now if a loaded cement mixer or something tried that shit on my asphalt drive then hell yeah! New driveway!!
