Hey guys, this is your pro-coal, antinuclear, capitalist, government Germany with a friendly reminder that actually it is your fault that we still subsidize coal extraction and buy tons of fossil fuels from Russia. We also intentionally misrepresent how A/C works to make you feel bad for using it. We think it’s great that poor people are continuing to die of preventable climate related deaths because it makes our donors more money. Now stop using A/C you dirty poors.

We can have more than 1 thing actively destroying the world at the same time. One does not invalidate the other.

Moreover the whole reason the US is supporting Israel in all of their shit is because of fossil fuels and they are most definitely the main thing destroying the world right now.

There’s plenty of ways to achieve clean renewable energy to run an AC. The billionaire class has just chosen not to, like you said, in favor of fossil fuels. The fact that these AC’s are needed more around the world is because of the fossil fuels to begin with.

Absolutely. Especially since we went away from nasty ozone destroying coolants and went with things like R134A, R32 and now even R290. My own AC is powered mostly by the solar panels on my roof. With the heatwave it’s been running at night as well and I don’t have any local power storage. My energy provider is “green”, but I suspect that’s not 100% renewable.

That’s the point. They just keep it expensive and inefficient, climate gets worse and they can sell even more.
