      The strength of the genetic influence on weight disorders varies quite a bit from person to person. Research suggests that for some people, genes account for just 25% of the predisposition to be overweight, while for others the genetic influence is as high as 70% to 80%.

      Like I said earlier “So, while genetics ARE a factor, they are no excuse for a defeatist attitude”. I believe that responds to your question. I don’t think it would prohibit someone from losing weight, it would just make it easier for some, harder for others, to the point where people for whom losing weight comes easy might scoff and dismiss the additional effort someone on the other group would need to do in order to obtain comparable results.

      And also like I said earlier “you also don’t need to act like a cunt to get your point across.”, you don’t need to go full confrontation mode with your questions, we can just discuss without the hostile, accusatory tone.
