    Signed in to YouTube, Orion browser on iOS, ublock origin installed.

    Shorts play routinely without fail, but ads are not suppressed. Long form videos initially load black but refreshing right after page load makes the video play. No ads are shown in long form videos.

      I use an app called video lite which strips out YouTube ads but injects its own but I can block them through my pihole/Tailscale

    Firefox + uBlock origin + sponsorblock. Works great, but maybe I’m just lucky!

    On my devices, with vpn and Adblockers, all I get is “sign in to view” so I haven’t seen anything on YouTube in months.
