I suspect an even more mechanized future with IFVs integrated more tightly with infantry to provide anti-drone coverage beyond what’s hand portable.
The widespread use of drones is yet another in a long line of changes to war, but just like machineguns didn’t turn all following conflicts into the static trenches of WW1, the spread of drones will become normalized as just another aspect. War in the future that includes drones will be as different to us as WW1 is.
Definitely. It must just suck (even more than usual) to be a soldier in one of those transitionary wars where new tactics or defence systems against new military technology hasn’t been properly developed yet.
