Ha, yea probably pretty difficult. The pieces are differentiated so you probably catch on after a while.
It’s funny, some of these chess boards, not the majority but maybe 10% of them were just identical statues placed on a chess board labeled “Indonesian chessboard” or the like but all the pieces are identical.
Apparently if the guy can’t find like a really cool chess board from a particular country he’ll go find some cool wooden carvings somewhere, buy like 20 of them and make a chess board for that country.
Which is also funny and cool.
