Not to be a downer, but studies show that honeybees (a nonnative species in North America) displace native pollinators, and that effect is amplified when food sources are scarce (as in urban settings). Honeybees are used as pollinators for food, because they basically pollinate everything, but as a result we rely on them too much as a species, and they’re part of a human-caused loss of biodiversity.
Just leaving piles of leaves and sticks would be more advantageous.
