FBI Director Kash Patel wrote that the drinking incidents — including an arrest for public urination — were not his usual behavior.

Which establishes a long-term pattern of behavior. Also shows that he’s a careless idiot.

I have been drunk on many weekends, have even gotten drunk at numerous bars. I’ve peed outside more times than most people probably, but I’ve never been careless enough to drunk piss outdoors where a cop could see it. It’s not hard to not get arrested for that.

I once knew a dude named “ghetto p” who got arrested for public intox after humping a mailbox…

Cool guy, but I wouldn’t put him in charge of the FBI.

And he still behaves the same way, while possessing the ability to have you or me disappeared without a second thought.

This story has had so many people say, “so? It was a long time ago and everyone does it” and I just think that’s such a weird take. (Edit: not here, but on the politics comm)

This guy’s not only the director of the FBI (oh god hangon . . *hurrph* . . ugh . .) uh, but he was just exposed as being an out-of-control drunk who’s incompetent and definitely not who you want in charge of anything; and his response was to arrogantly sue them for libel.

This shows it’s been part of who he is for a long time. He needs to get gone. Not everyone who pissed in front of a cop has to get fired, just this guy. You realize he can have us all illegally arrested through warrantless searches within a few hours - and just might if he’s shitfaced enough - why is anyone defending him? Do we all secretly hope to be cabinet secretaries someday? It’s just weird, I don’t get it.

yeah, I agree, but, sadly, the former is more likely to get him fired from his job than the latter, which is the goal here.
