This is asinine. Dogs are far more intelligent, loyal, and affectionate than chickens. To argue otherwise is intellectual dishonesty.

If you want to compare them with pigs, however, then perhaps you do have some point. This said, dog’s tend to be extremely useful to humans. They do everything from herding and protecting livestock to guiding the blind and serving as lifelong companions. Most notably, perhaps, they have been our own prorectors for thousands of years. For these reasons, and many others, the idea of eating them is quite crass to many.
