Like, digital isn’t super hard, but it does take some doing. There’s always Amazon it b&n, kobo wishlists, but that seems like a hard ask here on lemmy.
Yeah, Lemmy is more privacy and activism minded.
Maybe a book reading club, where you vote on a book to read and have touch points weekly or something.

Itchio books and (I think) Humble Bundle’s book bundles can be gifted. Likely Amazon too though I never cared to check. Possibly other digital book stores too. Perhaps such could be used? List of such platforms might need to be compiled though.
A lot of books have digital versions and are rather easy to pirate via library genesis.
So that could maybe be used.
