With its focus on long battery life, the Motorola Moto G57 Power targets endurance-focused buyers. As Xiaomi, Samsung and Apple continue to improve battery performance across their portfolios, it remains to be seen whether Motorola’s approach is still enough.

The features of Moto I learned to like:

    • The ROM (at least on my G5S and Edge20): No BS, only features that are useful to me (Gaming mode, security features, physical motion for cameras/flashlight)
    • Durability: Both came with cover included, the G5S’s screen broke after falling out of my hoodie pocket and someone literally stomping on it (accidentally) still worked fine for months tho), the Edge 20 has yet to break, despite falling from the third floor
    • They prio’d (at least in the past) performance and price over camera, and as I use the cam mostly for practical purposes and less for good shots, that’s fine for me

    Negatives are pretty much:

    • Turned away from allowing Bootloader unlocks
    • Very bad longterm update support (very bad combo)

So if you want a Moto, get an older one (Edge 40’s can still be unlocked iirc), replace the battery and install Lineage.
