I always suspected this fucking guy was alright…
Sometimes it isn’t the guys you least expected.

FYI - looks like your post went up twice
Unfortunately I’m at the age where you see a lot of your heros images decay in front of you. What I’ve picked up on is that, at the end of the day, you will never ever know any of these people unless you personally know them and have an open and honest relationship with them.
Now I just treat celebrities as companies, if they make cool stuff, I dig their work but that’s where the line is drawn.
Shout out to all the shitty fucking male role models in the world 🖤🖤🖤 /s
And shitty fucking female role models, let’s not forget them #sickofseeingmyidolsturndark
Waddya mean by turn dark? 🤔 kinda sounds like a hashtag snowflake conservatives would use to bitch and moan about minority representation in media haha
Ok bud. Not everything is quite so political. Think more “dark side of the force” and less “dark side of the skin tone spectrum.”
I was aware of both sides of the coin, which is why I asked the commenter to clarify.
It’s a common expression, hence people downvoting you and making snarky comments. When someone uses a common phrase and it’s met with someone asking a frankly silly, seemingly loaded, clarifying question, it feels a bit like shit stirring, ya know?
I get what you mean however:
It wasn’t common to me, I’ve never heard of that hashtag (I don’t use Twitter) and it’s not used by any of my family or friends, which is why I asked.
Contrary to the ideology of assume first ask never, I did the opposite and tried to politely ask what they meant.
I could care less about downvotes from people who’d rather make an assumption first than simply ask someone to elaborate or participate in conversation rather than black and whiting everything all the fucking time lol.
Sounds like a miserable life imo, I feel bad for them more than anything, vicious cycle.
Long story short, people should be more inquisitive and less judgmental imo.
Right, politely ask about the stuff some “snowflake” would say. The expression is someone “turning to the dark side” which I find very hard to believe you haven’t heard. You came across very much as assuming they were saying something political.
I think your earlier comment was not well received because you asserted a wild theory as a part of your question. Your intention may have been truth-seeking in good faith, so the unnecessary presumption was counterproductive.
I totally agree, I muddled the inquisitive tone for some ingroup social points. Totally counterproductive. Appreciate this view point
Haha, yeah. Too much representation, boo-hoo, why don’t I see enough white people on tv?
So you do or don’t mean that 😅 still unclear
Sorry, I drop the /s
Haha fair enough
Lol Shitty male role models always get called out. Shitty female role models get praised by everyone because “slut shaming” is “wrong”.
Fuck role models, parents need to give their children enough love that they don’t have to slut themselves out to feel empowered.
I don’t understand. People get called out if you call them out. So why are you being sexist about it?
It’s not sexist to point out that Andrew Tate is recognized by many as shitty male role models while at the same time Cardi B is praised by the same people. Those are just two examples of shitty role models but the difference between public reaction for the two seems to only be about their sex. I’m just pointing it out.
Cardi B
Never herd of her. Why do people like her and what is she doing that should be called out?
She’s a rapper. I’m not saying people shouldn’t like her, she has some bangers and she’s pretty damn sexy. But she’s a gangster and used to be a stripper before her rap career took off. She promotes women being whores and only caring about men for their money. Obviously if it’s just adults listening it doesn’t matter and is fun. But kids like her too and it normalizes being a gold digging whore for them. It’s my opinion that if you have videos online of your naked body, you are disqualified from being a role model but others see it as empowering and a reason to be a role model. I just don’t get that.
Can I ask you what your definition of a whore is? You mention a specific instance/example of course. But I’m wondering what to you embodies a whore and why that’s wrong. Interested in discussion, not debating ya ☺️
And Andrew Tate is a human trafficker. How are they similar?
This as fuck.
Now I just treat celebrities as companies
Hard agree on this.
It seems to me that the process of becoming a celebrity either makes people shitty, or shitty people have a huge ststistic advantage to become celebrities. As if it comes with the territory.
The same is with companies - all of them are here to make money and most of them are happy to test the line of right and wrong.
So it’s refreshing when you come across a celebrity or company that care.
But then there are those who do their best to be seen as the good ones and then suddenly take off their masks and you see you’ve been approving of human excrement.
I’m not really a devout religious person, but I think the concept of selling “your soul” for cash is pretty universal and doesn’t actually require any sort of god to be true, not to say there isn’t one of course.
You sell your attitude to companies, your time, your money, your energy, everything. And know people are actually selling their voices and images for AI profit too.
I get it, we all need money to get by but, it seems some people want to go past getting by and end up spending what time and energy they have left on earth for the prospect of a better future that only certain people ever achieve.
Idk I’m not so convinced in my own words either. Willing to debate if anyone’s interested!
You’re right.
Thankfully in this instance, it’s a joke, playing with your expectations of headlines. But yeah, celebs are companies
They are marketing companies that supply advertising & influence to the people who pay them.
Yeah, I guess you’re right. You can really never know them unless you personally have an open relationship with them.
And even then it can be tough! Trust erodes with time if not properly maintained and you go from keeping one secret to dozens because “I can’t go back now”
Most toxic mindset out there imo
Men can be good. Dismissal of 50% of the global population makes you far more bigoted than the bigots.
You post reads like grandpa Simpson talking about his belt onion.
I think you greatly misunderstood what they were saying.
You’ve completely and entirely missed the entire crux of my argument, likely clouded by your own personal frustrations with your life’s experience.
Thanks for putting that on me, from one dude to another.
Lmao.
If you’re feeling attacked here, that’s kind of on you.
Personally since I don’t think I have anything I need to defend for my own honor, I’m ok with reading the above comment without such fragility.
You might have something you need to address, but of course I can’t really know that. But if you do, I recommend you start with accepting yourself and then make deliberate choices.

Meaning your flawless archetypical view of people failed and now you are dehumanizing them instead?
Thing is, heros are shown in measurable ways. How hard they run, fight, raise weights. How they overcome whole body paralyzation.
Real life is different. It is about small menial shit for 90% of people. How you decide in that minute, what words you choose to say in that instant. And you have to do that a hundred thousand times. That is to be a hero in real life.
I am terrible at socialization and bonding with people. For that I have been reprimanded dozens of times because Im full of inappropriate shit I do. I have always wanted some big thing that will differentiate me so I dont have to suffer from feeling like Im black sheep. But that never comes.
“flawless archetypical” = not a sexual predator
Most people get cancelled because they say fucked up shit. Not by being predators.
As I said, the same way you imagine heroes you like to imagine you really have to fuck up to be marginalized. Those are the shining examples of canceled celebrities. But most of the times its for just blabbering about bullshit.
It might not be ok, but think of how little words can mean yet how seriously we take them.
Most people? Is that a fact or a feeling?
Words mean little?
Come on dude, words mean everything. It’s how we express ourselves. Lazy words, disconnection from social grounding and reinforcement only leave you isolated, uninformed (socially/experientially) and speaking things you don’t really mean exactly.
Part of cooperation and team work as a species is social skills. Because how else do you expect to speak with an alien?
Back to the original comment, this all wraps up. These people broke social contracts and were thusly ostracized (usually temporarily, lots of “cancelled” bounce back either via an apology or a rejection of social contracts. And I mean total rejection of social contracts. They push ideologies like “mind your own business” so they don’t have to cooperate. To socialize.
I’m really sorry that you’re having a hard time with socializing. When I was young I had the same problem and for a long time. Eventually I floated into these crowds of people that push those ideologies I talked about. They were impulsive, disrespectful, mean spirited and negative all the fucking time.
Since then, I spend time seeing a therapist so I can work out my insecurities and “we live in a society” questions and it has been the most informative and valuable choice of my life. It’s night and day now, I can easily pick out people stuck in those ruts and it sucks because I can’t make them take that step towards finding help from someone who’s a professional. Not to mention cost, finding a good persona match for you, etc. you have to really want to not be miserable for the rest of your life. For me, it was being miserable about being miserable that finally pissed me off enough to deal with my shit.
He’s just a really standup guy, I don’t know what else to say. What do you expect, he’s Neo.
That’s why he has a career. He’s really easy to work with so he keeps getting roles, even though his performances aren’t great.
Indeed. Here’s the evidence:
serial non-molester
Repeat non-offender
Jesus, they all look so terrified
You would be too if you were meeting John Wick.
The court convicts him of the charges immediately!
World: die young enough to be a hero or live long enough to become the villain.
Keanu Reeves: challenge accepted.
If news ever gets out that he was secretly a bastard, the whole internet is gonna cry our fucking eyes out. Please let him stay as nice as we think he is.

People coming from reddit want a replay instead of a fresh start I guess
I swear, one day we’ll all find out that Keanu has a basement full of the body parts from his victims. Because we live in a crapsack world where we can’t have anything nice.

no
Hee hee, extremely “appropriate” behavior. That would be a change of pace. But there’s some ironic truth in that idea, that women find “bad boys” more attractive than well behaved ones. Yet when they misbehave, men are called on the carpet for it. It’s one of the many hypocrisies of human interaction.
The 1980’s called, they want their absurd trope back.
It pairs well with the “it’s OK to drug your girlfriend and let a nerd rape her” trope.
the what now?
Revenge of the Nerds. Watch it, and then forget you ever saw it.
Well I did so I guess I forgot that from it already.
There are a lot of movies from the 80s and 90s that really do not hold up on a modern viewing.
More like women respond to confident men and not insecure men. In other words stop acting like a little bitch.
One of the many ways men put others down by calling them a “bitch,” a term meaning a degenerate female. Another person proving my point for me.
