sigh I really hate when rich people conflate poverty with not working very hard.

My shift lasts five hours, I get paid 17 dollars for each of those five. Whether I’m doing the bare minimum or working my fingers to the bone doesn’t change things. Even if I wanted to work harder, I’m only doing what’s in scope. That’s not a me thing, that’s a “The company will get mad at you if you do this” thing.

I don’t know why they think there’s some magical extra revenue stream I’ll get by putting my back into it.
