Kitkats are typical omiyage gifts in Japan, they have several local flavors to collect. Here is the one sold in Hakone.

Very disappointing to hear. Nestle are evil and an absolutely vile company that has purposely starved children to sell more of their products.

I get your point but unfortunately I’m not sure the issue you raise is specific to Japan (we can have a whole discussion on how large corporations tend to get greedy and evil…). I do think those omiyage are very unique and typical of Japan. Didn’t you encounter those while you visited Japan?

KitKat is exclusively made by Nestle. So how are you unsure about how this is specific to Japan?

Maybe give a gift that doesn’t come from a corporation that starves children in Africa for profit.

nice to meet you. I was surprised when I saw the picture. I live near Mount Fuji, but I’ve never seen a Fuji Kit Kat! shaped like Mount Fuji.

It must be a very rare item that even locals don’t know about. I want to buy one too, so I’ll go look for it at a nearby souvenir shop.

My family and I had a good laugh about it.

Out of all the photos I have, I chose this one because it looks like a Fuji Kit Kat.
