I’ve just received the two cobra xses and they are tiny, already love them…
The small pliers are cool. If you don’t mind me asking, what compels you to carry separate pliers, vs a multi tool that has them built in?
They are so much better than the ones in a multi-tool, if you do something that specifically requires them fairly frequently. I use the knipex mini water pump pliers and adjustable pliers wrench, they are slightly larger (125mm) than these which I believe are fairly new. I can’t recommend them enough.
Seconded. The adjustable pliers wrench is a new addition for me and they’re just so great for so many things.
I carry a cybertool L (with pliers) and a knipex cobra. I use the cybertools pliers for small stuff where I need some more precision. The cobra is used for heavier stuff as it isn’t as precise as the cybertools pliers while being able to put more force on using them.
I just like carrying separate dedicated tools. Lets say you need to hold something down with the pliers and cut it with the SAK scissors at the same time, you wouldn’t be able to do that with integrated tools. So, the advantage is when needing to use two or more tools at once.
They look so good!
Someone once gave me a set of those knipex pliers… now I can’t live with out them. I lost my first pair and for a bout a week and realized I use them pretty much everything.
What do you do to keep the knipex from rusting? I carried one for a while but the exposed metal started to tarnish?
Meh just need one tbh. Its all just beer openers anyway :)
